  1.       How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? This product challenges different types of people to use different utensils that have a better quality. It allows people to have an open mind with using a gel pen instead of a regular pen. This can open up their creativity with the different writing methods. for example people that sign a contract could change up their signatures. Also students that take notes in class with pens can organize the notes with paper mate gel pens . This represents different social groups by people that work in jobs that have to do with signing papers, school, and people that write and take notes. 2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text? The purpose is to tell them about a change in what you usually do which in this case is a different pen. it is also to convince them that maybe their pens that they're using today is probably

  This is the final commercial. I think I did really good based on working by myself. The video is clear which I am happy about. As previously stated this commercial is about papermate. Paper mate is a brand that has to do with pens gel pens and more. I chose a regular paper mate pen to do a commercial on. This choice didn't really have much options for me so I made it very simple. It went over 30 seconds by 5. It's not like a usual typical commercial because of how simple it is. Most commercials have acting and people inside of it. But this one is mostly writing. I was worried about how the video wouldn't be clear. But all I needed to do was downloaded it. When I finished downloading the video and exporting it and made it automatically clear. While editing it it was buffering and it was pixelated. I learned a lot about filming this commercial. One of them is it takes a lot of skill. This Is the final day of editing and I got a lot done. So, I used 3 different apps to edit. At first I used filmora and I added all of the clips. I had to cut some parts of the clips so the commercial can be 27-30 seconds. I also added the icon overlay which wasn't hard. I added a transition to the icon so it wouldn't just pop up. I couldn't use filmora alone because they have a watermark and I had to save what I have. The watermark is the banner of filmora that is in the way of the video. Then I moved it to VideoPad to remove the watermark. However, I couldn't add any audio to the video. I found the audio off of YouTube and it was easy to find. I had to make sure it had no copyright. I downloaded it off of mp3juice.cc. Once I got the audio, I searched up a quick editor app and I used capcut. I sent the video to my email downloaded it to my phone. I had to upload it to google drive because of the size. It didn't really stop me from downloading it on my phone though.

This is day two and final day! I filmed in a few different places. One of the was in my room. I realized that I could actually film by myself and with no help. I only had two types of shots so I made it simple. I basically continued to write on the same paper. My idea was to create a time-lapse or something like it. The positioning of the paper was probably a bit off in each scene. Another place I filmed was my dining table. I feel like the lighting for each scene was good. For a pen commercial there is not so much options to film but a classroom or desk. so I thought why not film in different places so it could be simple but creative. All of the filming that I did in school was probably a little percentage of the entire filming process. Also I  downloaded some audio so when I edit. The audios I wanted were calm but simple. Then I researched about more video editing apps. I wanted something professional looking. also I wanted it to be free without purchase. I found a few apps so far. O

So I started to find some different editing apps. It was a little bit difficult because I didn't want the ones that social media use. Some of them were capcut, wondershare, or hit film Express. First I tried cap cut. It wasn't as advanced as I wanted it to be and it didn't really meet up with my requirements. Plus I couldn't download it on my laptop and I didn't want to edit on my phone. Next I tried hit film. It was starting out good but I couldn't figure out where to put the audio. I went on YouTube and found the guide but it didn't show me where to put audio. I moved on to another app. This app is called wondershare filmora. I am currently playing with this app to see if it'll work with what I have. The main problem right now is how to put audio and that's what I'm learning. I have to film more clips so that everything will go through smoothly. So so far I filmed some little clips of my commercial. The scene was the classroom I stated before and I wanted some help to film. I figured that I just do the easy shots that I can do myself and get those out the way. Then I thought about how I could change up the scenery to be at home and take the exact same shot. Kind of like a time lapse but writing the same exact things. I might ask my sister to help me film at home. Next class I plan on editing. I can make me fine a background sound that sounds simple. For example Google commercials had this type of commercial of all the different type of things you could search. And then they had a simple melody in the background. The shots I plan on filming are low shots, high shots, and more. In order to make this happen I might need some help along the way. Next class I also want to start helping different groups if they need it. Speaking about editing I need to find a logo and make it animated. By doing that it'll make the commercial loo
