Final Day Of Production!!


This is day two and final day! I filmed in a few different places. One of the was in my room. I realized that I could actually film by myself and with no help. I only had two types of shots so I made it simple. I basically continued to write on the same paper. My idea was to create a time-lapse or something like it. The positioning of the paper was probably a bit off in each scene. Another place I filmed was my dining table. I feel like the lighting for each scene was good. For a pen commercial there is not so much options to film but a classroom or desk. so I thought why not film in different places so it could be simple but creative. All of the filming that I did in school was probably a little percentage of the entire filming process. Also I  downloaded some audio so when I edit. The audios I wanted were calm but simple. Then I researched about more video editing apps. I wanted something professional looking. also I wanted it to be free without purchase. I found a few apps so far. Overall I got a lot of filming done today.

  Based on the research we did for the blogs, we feel as though mystery will fit best for our movie. This genre really would climb as the film goes on. By the end of the film is where we find our solution or our ending. This inspired us as a whole as we are trying to create a film that has to do with suspicion. It would really draw the audience attention. I feel like our pitch really fits in with this genre. If in the future we would have to tweak it, it wouldn't be a problem. Genre Research: hereditary

 This movie has elements that our group would like to include in our final task such as the tense ambience created by the mysterious entity that disturbs the family. Having a mood that puts the viewer at the edge of their seat while also trying to solve and figure out what's going on is something Hereditary does well and something our group would like to recreate into our film. Another element that inspired our film was the use of subverting the viewers expectations. This movie may make the viewer believe one thing is going on when in reality something entirely different may be happening. The unpredictable nature of Hereditary is a great base for a mystery film as mystery constantly wants the viewer confused and questioning. Some elements that we enjoyed were the nonstop tension as the family would often be arguing and constantly fighting over something they do not understand.
