Editing blog


 So on March sixteenth, we started editing. Jeni has decided to take matters into her own hands and start editing process. We just give her the clips that we filmed and help her on what to add in the transitions so far everything has been doing good. The process has been going smooth the only mishap that we have is that we don’t know if we have enough filmed. Further, we have to make up our minds about the music in the background so we don’t have a it to be a bland sound movie. As time goes on, we might have to film more because we need a five minute short film and this just might be only a quarter of it. We might have to add some credit scenes and maybe some bloopers but that might not be in the rubric. so we will fall back on that as a back up.

  The process of this film was overall a learning experience. Throughout this whole experience, we've learned some things outside of what we have gained in our media knowledge. Based on how this film represents any social groups or issues. This film represents anxiety. as you can see in some of the scenes, one friend is a little off and she might be anxious about shopping or some other underlying problem that she has . In today's world, people don't take anxiety so serious. Some make jokes about it and just push it on the back burner personally and to others. This Product, however, shows that our friends are considering what is wrong with her, or seems that something is bothering her, but there is one friend that's denying that she's fine. She also could be leaving her friends in the dark and not letting them know about her issue. Which creates the name of our product and it connects the whole idea together that she's hiding something and not letting her friends

Final Day Of Production!!

This is day two and final day! I filmed in a few different places. One of the was in my room. I realized that I could actually film by myself and with no help. I only had two types of shots so I made it simple. I basically continued to write on the same paper. My idea was to create a time-lapse or something like it. The positioning of the paper was probably a bit off in each scene. Another place I filmed was my dining table. I feel like the lighting for each scene was good. For a pen commercial there is not so much options to film but a classroom or desk. so I thought why not film in different places so it could be simple but creative. All of the filming that I did in school was probably a little percentage of the entire filming process. Also I  downloaded some audio so when I edit. The audios I wanted were calm but simple. Then I researched about more video editing apps. I wanted something professional looking. also I wanted it to be free without purchase. I found a few apps so far. O

Title Research: Parasite

 What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? Some of the titles included were the name of the studio (CJ Entertainment), name of the production company (Barunson E&A), Title of the movie (Parasite), and the name of the actors (Song Kang Ho, Lee Sun Kyun, Cho Yeo Jeong, Choi Woo Shik, Park So Dam, Lee Jung Eun, Chang Hyae Jin, Park Myung Hoon, Jung Ziso, Jung Hyeon Jun) - What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? Some of the imagery that was prioritized was the outside of the long rectangular window, from what we can see we see the many people just living their normal lives as citizens we see one individual riding a bike as the others just peacefully walk down the road. As the camera pans down we see a man on his phone, presumably attempting to connect to the wifi but with no luck. He gets up and walks to speak with other characters such as his sister and mother, the camera tracks his movement and with doing so shows off some of the rooms in the small home.  -
