Production blog first day

Wow we are already on the production side of this project.  So this is a filming part . This past Saturday all of my group mates went to film. I couldn’t make it to filming because I needed a ride. I’ve tried to see if I could’ve took in an Uber or a public city bus but those were not good options for me. I didn’t really have money for an Uber and taking the bus was a bit risky . I suggested we filmed after school but people had things going on . But they let me know how filming was like and the whole concept of what we’re doing. Also Jeni is going to do the editing for this project . As she is also the main character. Melvin and Naiara are the friends of the main character. I am also one of the friends too but I could also be the mom yelling but she doesn’t have to be in the scene. We’re all still new to this just a little bit so we they were kind of struggling. Didn’t really tell me too much because I didn’t think they completed that much for me. We might need to reschedule the next filming date to another day because of Transportation. I didn’t think it was going to get this complicated but we might just have to pick another place to film. Plus people stay after school for programs so going to film after school is maybe a choice. We plan on filming again this Friday or on a Saturday. I think will be more prepared now now that we have a filming day set. Hopefully I get Transportation and I’ll be there because it depends for me. But then again it’s a group effort so I have to do everything I need to do.

  Based on the research we did for the blogs, we feel as though mystery will fit best for our movie. This genre really would climb as the film goes on. By the end of the film is where we find our solution or our ending. This inspired us as a whole as we are trying to create a film that has to do with suspicion. It would really draw the audience attention. I feel like our pitch really fits in with this genre. If in the future we would have to tweak it, it wouldn't be a problem. Genre Research: hereditary

 This movie has elements that our group would like to include in our final task such as the tense ambience created by the mysterious entity that disturbs the family. Having a mood that puts the viewer at the edge of their seat while also trying to solve and figure out what's going on is something Hereditary does well and something our group would like to recreate into our film. Another element that inspired our film was the use of subverting the viewers expectations. This movie may make the viewer believe one thing is going on when in reality something entirely different may be happening. The unpredictable nature of Hereditary is a great base for a mystery film as mystery constantly wants the viewer confused and questioning. Some elements that we enjoyed were the nonstop tension as the family would often be arguing and constantly fighting over something they do not understand.
