The New Me!

My name is Withly, and this is my intro blog for my final task. I am 16 years old and a sophomore. The school I go to is Fort Lauderdale high. I am super excited to be working on this project. throughout these other projects, I have learned a whole bunch of new things. With that being said I want to learn more things and I think it has been a great experience. this project is going to be a making of an intro to an original movie. Now there are many different ideas I can come up with. this project will help me learn more about editing. It would also help me understand the whole idea of the first part of a movie. It will also help me figure out new platforms do the editing on, and I can discover different resources. I’ll watch the couple movies throughout these weeks and they really giving me inspiration for this project. There’s a lot of creativity that can come with this project. I’m also working in a group this time again. Hopefully I can get more ideas from my group mates. One of the main things I would like to achieve in this project is to see the progress I’ve made. At first, I thought we had to watch a movie and then use the intro, but we must make her own movie intro. I am ready to see how far I can go with my editing skills and how the Experiences is. From that being said I am looking forward to this project. I am excited on what the future has in store.

  Based on the research we did for the blogs, we feel as though mystery will fit best for our movie. This genre really would climb as the film goes on. By the end of the film is where we find our solution or our ending. This inspired us as a whole as we are trying to create a film that has to do with suspicion. It would really draw the audience attention. I feel like our pitch really fits in with this genre. If in the future we would have to tweak it, it wouldn't be a problem. We weren't thinking to add dialogue at first as our idea, but it might be the thing that we need to add. As stated previously, the mystery genre has a decent popularity in films nowadays. Genre Research: hereditary

 This movie has elements that our group would like to include in our final task such as the tense ambience created by the mysterious entity that disturbs the family. Having a mood that puts the viewer at the edge of their seat while also trying to solve and figure out what's going on is something Hereditary does well and something our group would like to recreate into our film. Another element that inspired our film was the use of subverting the viewers expectations. This movie may make the viewer believe one thing is going on when in reality something entirely different may be happening. The unpredictable nature of Hereditary is a great base for a mystery film as mystery constantly wants the viewer confused and questioning.
