Recording in Target!!

On Tuesday November 28th this day was our first filming block. Before this day we were trying to figure out what time will it be suitable for all of us to film. We wanted to be a day right after the thanksgiving break so we won't procrastinate. Tuesday was the day everyone was available. The destination was at a target, so we had to figure out transportation also. Some items that we bought during filming were party decorations as previously stated. Some of those include birthday hats plates balloons and more. We had an extra person to help film us so we all could be included in a music video. This person was Naiara's boyfriend. We made sure we took multiple takes of the same scene just to see which one would be better than the other. He did good with the angles as you can see in one of the videos where he kind of starts with a low angle but then changes it. One of them we tried to do a time lapse with some of those scenes. After that we tried to buy a cake at Target, but it wasn't available. Because of that we had to go to Publix to buy a cake. We didn't film that process because the day was almost over. after that We got some food and then we went home. We agreed to film the second settings the next day and it would be at a park. We also agreed that Niagara would edit since she wasn't in as much of the scene. She also said she's not that great at editing but she's good enough. hopefully the next day would go by smoothly and everything will be good.

  Based on the research we did for the blogs, we feel as though mystery will fit best for our movie. This genre really would climb as the film goes on. By the end of the film is where we find our solution or our ending. This inspired us as a whole as we are trying to create a film that has to do with suspicion. It would really draw the audience attention. I feel like our pitch really fits in with this genre. If in the future we would have to tweak it, it wouldn't be a problem. We weren't thinking to add dialogue at first as our idea, but it might be the thing that we need to add. As stated previously, the mystery genre has a decent popularity in films nowadays. Genre Research: hereditary

 This movie has elements that our group would like to include in our final task such as the tense ambience created by the mysterious entity that disturbs the family. Having a mood that puts the viewer at the edge of their seat while also trying to solve and figure out what's going on is something Hereditary does well and something our group would like to recreate into our film. Another element that inspired our film was the use of subverting the viewers expectations. This movie may make the viewer believe one thing is going on when in reality something entirely different may be happening. The unpredictable nature of Hereditary is a great base for a mystery film as mystery constantly wants the viewer confused and questioning. Some elements that we enjoyed were the nonstop tension as the family would often be arguing and constantly fighting over something they do not understand.
