Finishing touches

At this point she is halfway done editing. I feel like she is almost done though. I think she's really focused on the transitions and making the video look good. She's also focusing on how she can highlight the different angles being used. When I edited another video previously it was hard to add the audio. Hopefully she didn't have any trouble adding the audio because she didn't mention it. I don't know if iMovie has watermarks. The one I use last time did have watermarks and I was trying to find another one that didn't. Then she mentions that she had to cut some parts off to make the video shorter. We did take a lot of takes while filming so I understand. Some of the clips were longer than anticipated. Because of that she had to chop some of those scenes up. I offered to edit but she said she would. I don't think I did too bad on the last project we had with editing. She has an iPhone so the quality is way better than my phone. That's why we used her phone to film because of that. I asked her to send the videos to me just in case anything happens. The clips could get lost or deleted so we might need a back up plan. Everything will all go good probably. I don't really know her editing style so hopefully it all turns out good.

  Based on the research we did for the blogs, we feel as though mystery will fit best for our movie. This genre really would climb as the film goes on. By the end of the film is where we find our solution or our ending. This inspired us as a whole as we are trying to create a film that has to do with suspicion. It would really draw the audience attention. I feel like our pitch really fits in with this genre. If in the future we would have to tweak it, it wouldn't be a problem. We weren't thinking to add dialogue at first as our idea, but it might be the thing that we need to add. As stated previously, the mystery genre has a decent popularity in films nowadays. Genre Research: hereditary

 This movie has elements that our group would like to include in our final task such as the tense ambience created by the mysterious entity that disturbs the family. Having a mood that puts the viewer at the edge of their seat while also trying to solve and figure out what's going on is something Hereditary does well and something our group would like to recreate into our film. Another element that inspired our film was the use of subverting the viewers expectations. This movie may make the viewer believe one thing is going on when in reality something entirely different may be happening. The unpredictable nature of Hereditary is a great base for a mystery film as mystery constantly wants the viewer confused and questioning.
