A group?! interesting...

  I know I said I don't usually work in groups but I want to have an open mind. So, I am in a group of three for my project. My group members are Naiara, Melvin, and myself. We have been working on planning our project and ideas to film together for a while now. We already have several ideas planned out. Another thing we planned out was our types of camera shots. I'm glad I chose a group as we have made great progress. I have known about Naiara since middle school in 7th grade. I met Melvin in sunrise middle school. I have a lot of hope as I believe my group works very efficiently. I would like to be the camera man in the group and assign roles to different group members. I'd want either Naiara or Withly to storyboard and draw as I am not good at drawing. My group doesn't have much experience filming with professional cameras. I am creative and I already have an idea about how I want the project to look like. We also came up with many backup plans in case something happens while filming. Another thing I like about my group is that they plan ahead for other possible cases. I think the project will be easier if we all brainstorm ideas for story boarding and ideas. We all share our ideas and blogs to each other to check and proof read. Additionally, we have a group chat to discuss and come up with things for our project. We are great communicators with each other making it easy for ideas. I believe we will do well together. This picture is melvin.

  Based on the research we did for the blogs, we feel as though mystery will fit best for our movie. This genre really would climb as the film goes on. By the end of the film is where we find our solution or our ending. This inspired us as a whole as we are trying to create a film that has to do with suspicion. It would really draw the audience attention. I feel like our pitch really fits in with this genre. If in the future we would have to tweak it, it wouldn't be a problem. Genre Research: hereditary

 This movie has elements that our group would like to include in our final task such as the tense ambience created by the mysterious entity that disturbs the family. Having a mood that puts the viewer at the edge of their seat while also trying to solve and figure out what's going on is something Hereditary does well and something our group would like to recreate into our film. Another element that inspired our film was the use of subverting the viewers expectations. This movie may make the viewer believe one thing is going on when in reality something entirely different may be happening. The unpredictable nature of Hereditary is a great base for a mystery film as mystery constantly wants the viewer confused and questioning.
