No Group. Just Me.

This is my group blog for the commercial project. However I am currently working by myself in this project. The reason for that is I like to work independently because I don't like to rely on people. I might use a few people in the commercial just for props.  Next time I'll probably work in a group to explore different ideas because its important to have an open mind. For right now I'm just brainstorming different things I may do for the commercial project. If I do end up working in a group I'll try to look for different people that I don't know so I can get a fresh start and see how their work ethic is. Sometimes in other classes I would work in groups which is sometimes required. When I do work with people, I don't mind it and its also really helpful. Although I like working by myself, working with other people does have benefits to it. For example, you can assign people to do different things so that everyone has a responsibility. Someone can do editing while the other person is in charge of videography. it really depends on the type of people at the end of the day. As I stated before, I wanted to do a commercial on either hygiene products or art products. however I'm leaning more on art products because of how easy I can obtain them. they can be bought in dollar stores, art stores, and more. I feel like the editing would be simple also because it is such a small product. I want to film from different angles so it can look professional especially since we are recording on a phone. As I said before, in the future hopefully I'll have the opportunity to work in a group. I am looking forward to it.

  Based on the research we did for the blogs, we feel as though mystery will fit best for our movie. This genre really would climb as the film goes on. By the end of the film is where we find our solution or our ending. This inspired us as a whole as we are trying to create a film that has to do with suspicion. It would really draw the audience attention. I feel like our pitch really fits in with this genre. If in the future we would have to tweak it, it wouldn't be a problem. Genre Research: hereditary

 This movie has elements that our group would like to include in our final task such as the tense ambience created by the mysterious entity that disturbs the family. Having a mood that puts the viewer at the edge of their seat while also trying to solve and figure out what's going on is something Hereditary does well and something our group would like to recreate into our film. Another element that inspired our film was the use of subverting the viewers expectations. This movie may make the viewer believe one thing is going on when in reality something entirely different may be happening. The unpredictable nature of Hereditary is a great base for a mystery film as mystery constantly wants the viewer confused and questioning.
